John Mayall
So Many Roads: An Anthology 1964-1975
2010 four CD anthology from the British Blues legend. John Mayall’s band, The Bluesbreakers ,were undoubtedly a hot-house for the British Blues scene in the late ‘60s and early ‘70s and it’s quite staggering when you examine the roll call of floating members who served their apprenticeship with John Mayall including Jack Bruce, Eric Clapton, Mick Fleetwood, Peter Green, Keef Hartley, John McVie, Mick Taylor and Steve Winwood.
This lavish box set contains 74 tracks, all newly remastered from the original master tapes, including five tracks released in Europe on CD for the first time. The 40-page booklet features sleevenotes by Mark Powell with rare and previously unseen photographs.

Isobel Campbell & Mark Lanegan
Hawk
The third full length collaboration between the former Screaming Trees vocalist (Lanegan) and ex-Belle & Sebastian member (Campbell).
The husky growl of Mark Lanegan and the soft, gentle beauty of Isobel Campbell proved to be the perfect match on 2006’s Ballad Of The Broken Seas and again on 2008’s Sunday At Devil Dirt.
Utilizing glistening guitars and sumptuous piano lines, the pair reunite for Hawk, an album produced by Campbell. Also featuring Willy Mason on two tracks, Hawk once again displays the emotive and powerful talents of two singers from opposite ends of the vocal spectrum.

John Mellencamp
No Better Than This
No Better Than This is an album of all new original songs that was recorded at a variety of historically significant locations around the south.
The album was produced by T-Bone Burnett who earlier collaborated with Mellencamp on the much-lauded Life Death Love and Freedom.
No Better Than This was recorded over the course of a few break days afforded Mellencamp when he was on tour of minor league ball parks last year, sharing the bill with Bob Dylan and Willie Nelson.
The album was recorded on vintage equipment - a 55 year old Ampex tape recorder with just one microphone - in Savannah at the First African Baptist Church, in Memphis at Sun Studios and in San Antonio in room 411 of the Gunter Hotel.
Mellencamp wrote the 13 songs included on the album during a 13 day span last spring.

Ray Lamontagne
God Willin’ & the Creek Don’t Rise
Entirely self produced (for the first time) the album was recorded in two weeks at LaMontagne’s home in the woods of western Massachusetts.
The newly restored historic home served as a homemade recording studio for Ray and his fellow musicians.
With Ray’s vocals at the forefront of the songs and a loose, almost live sounding recording, the album stands as a testament to a band at the height of their powers. The newly coined ‘Pariah Dogs’, consists of Jay Bellarose (drums), Jennifer Condos (bass), Patrick Warren (keyboard), Eric Heywood (guitar) and Greg Leisz (pedal steel guitar).

Iron Maiden
The Final Frontier
30 years on from their eponymous debut album in April 1980, The Final Frontier is Maiden’s 15th studio album and is plainly one of the strongest and most wildly inventive things they have ever produced;
a 76-minute tour-de-force of soaring melodies, thunderous heaviness and astonishing compositional bravery it looks certain to be regarded as a new landmark in the band’s career.
