Aphrodite's Child

End Of the World

Digitally remastered and expanded edition of this1968 debut album from the Greek Psych/Prog Rock band including two bonus tracks.

Formed in 1967 by keyboard player Vangelis, the band also featured Demis Roussos on bass and vocals and Lucas Sideras on drums.

End Of The World features the international hit ‘Rain And Tears’, partially inspired by Procol Harum’s ‘A Whiter Shade Of Pale’ . However, the album revealed a more experimental side to the band s nature with such Psychedelic gems as ‘The Grass Is No Green’, ‘You Always Stand In My Way’ and ‘Day Of The Fool’.

This reissue has been remastered from the original tapes and includes both sides of Aphrodite’s Child’s first single as bonus tracks.

Hawkwind (Psychedelic Warriors)

White Zone / The Xenon Codex

White Zone - Digitally remastered edition of this 1995 release from the Hawkwind-related outfit.

Credited to the fictitious group Psychedelic Warriors, the album was recorded by Dave Brock, Alan Davey and Richard Chadwick at Rockfield Studios in November and December 1994, revealing another side of their musical nature, taking in influences from the UK Dance and Rave music scene.

The Xenon Codex:  - The Xenon Codex was the last Hawkwind studio album to feature Huw Lloyd Langton on lead guitar and Danny Thompson on drums.

Featuring fine material such as ‘The War I Survived’, ‘Heads’ and ‘Sword of the East’, this remastered reissue includes five live recordings from 1988 and fully restores the limited edition “fold out” artwork featured on initial pressings of the original album.

While not a complete or exhaustive collection of the Moody Blues on Auntie Beeb, this two-disc compilation is a worthy overview of the band’s live, in-studio performances.

Likewise, as over a dozen tracks are not available elsewhere on CD, 2007’s Live at the BBC: 1967-1970 perfectly complements the BBC-sourced bonus tracks found on the expanded editions of the Moodies’ classic back catalog.
