Released on July 27, 1993, Siamese Dream is the second studio album from the Smashing Pumpkins and a defining release of 1990s alternative rock. Produced by Butch Vig and frontman Billy Corgan, the album was famously difficult to make, marked by tensions within the band, yet it debuted at number ten on the Billboard 200 and went on to sell over six million copies worldwide.

Four singles supported the album at the time, including Cherub Rock, Today, Disarm and Rocket, with Mayonaise later issued as a single for the album’s 30th anniversary. Blending heavy guitars with melodic complexity and introspective lyrics, Siamese Dream stood apart from the grunge movement that surrounded it, earning critical acclaim upon release and lasting recognition as one of the greatest albums of the decade.
