His first album since 2007, "Bringing It Down To The Bass" is an autobiography of sorts, with the themes drawn from Levin's musical life. It features a murderer's row of guest musicians including Robert Fripp, Vinnie Colaiuta, Earl Slick, Mike Portnoy, Steve Gadd, Jerry Marotta, Gary Husband, Shankar, Pete Levin. David Torn, Pat Mastelotto, and many more.

The blu-ray includes four bonus songs and contains Dolby Atmos and 48/24 LPCM stereo, and 5.1 and 7.1 Surround Sound mixes.
